We are actively seeking a motivated Business Development Executive (Inside Sales) to join our growing team and drive customer acquisition by reaching out to potential clients, pitching MargBooks, and converting leads into successful partnerships.


 

Role Overview:


 

The Business Development Executive (Inside Sales) will be responsible for reaching out to potential customers, understanding their needs, demonstrating how MargBooks can transform their accounting and inventory processes, and closing sales. This role will primarily involve client communication over calls, emails, and online presentations.


 

Key Responsibilities:


 

Lead Generation & Prospecting:
 

  • Research and identify potential clients such as small to medium businesses, accountants, and distributors.
  • Utilize tools like LinkedIn, Google search, databases, and internal CRM to identify qualified leads.
  • Maintain a daily list of prospects for outreach.


 

Client Communication:
 

  • Make 50-80 outbound calls per day to potential customers to introduce MargBooks and understand their accounting/inventory software requirements.
  • Engage with clients over emails, WhatsApp, and other digital channels to share product details, presentations, and proposals.
  • Build rapport, understand business pain points, and recommend solutions.


 

Product Demonstrations:
 

  • Schedule and conduct virtual product presentations/demos (via Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams) to explain MargBooks features and benefits tailored to the clients needs.
  • Highlight MargBooks key capabilities, including cloud accessibility, GST compliance, and real-time inventory management.


 

Sales & Conversion:
 

  • Convert prospects into paying customers by showcasing how MargBooks resolves their accounting and business challenges.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets by closing deals effectively.
  • Follow up consistently with clients at different stages of the sales funnel to ensure a high conversion rate.


 

CRM Management & Reporting:
 

  • Update all leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system to ensure proper tracking.
  • Generate daily/weekly reports on outreach, client demos, and sales progress.


 

Client Relationship Management:
 

  • Develop strong relationships with clients to encourage referrals and long-term engagement.
  • Ensure client satisfaction during the onboarding process and provide support with their queries regarding MargBooks.


 

Feedback to Management:
 

Collect client feedback on the product and share insights with the product and sales teams to improve MargBooks features and sales strategies.


 

Skills & Requirements:


 

Education:
 

  • Graduate in any discipline (BBA/MBA or equivalent preferred).


 

Experience:
 

  • 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, tele-calling, or software sales.
  • Prior experience in ERP, accounting software, or SaaS sales is an added advantage.


 

Skills:
 

  • Excellent communication (spoken and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong convincing ability and negotiation skills to close deals.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Good knowledge of CRM tools (like Zoho, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage calls, demos, and follow-ups efficiently.
