Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to design, implement, and manage websites using the WordPress platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, including the creation of WordPress themes and plugins, as well as site integration and security updates.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement websites from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable.

Customize WordPress themes and templates to meet client needs.

Develop custom plugins and functionality for WordPress sites.

Ensure high performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.

Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to produce high-quality websites.

Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code.

Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and responsiveness across devices.

Keep up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.

Strong knowledge of WordPress platform and ecosystem.

Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.

Experience with PHP and MySQL.

Familiarity with website architecture and aesthetics.

Experience with debugging tools (e.g., Chrome Inspector, Firebug).

Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (preferred).
